Printing & Publishing ‘Lanka’ Is Banned

The CID officers, who sealed the office of ‘Lanka Irida’ yesterday, have handed over an enjoining order to the Chairman of ‘Lanka Fast Publishers’ banning printing and publishing ‘Lanka Irida’ weekend Sinhalese newspaper.

According to Nugegoda Magistrates Court the enjoining order has been issued on a request made by the CID claiming that the newspaper publishes information that would reveal information of investigations carried out regarding terrorist organizations that would jeopardize national security.
